Life Lately - Newsletter 001

Welcome back to the Modern Arroyo Newsletter!

I took a bit of a social hiatus to regroup and focus on my new normal. Going into life with baby #2 I definitely thought would be easier since I had already gotten into a good groove with 1. My type A - goal oriented personality believed I could do it all without really having to adjust to the additional time needed for my new normal.

It’s amazing how little we consider the emotional and mental toll having a baby has on moms (and dads). Even though we hear all the time how important mental health is, and we’re seeing an increase in research and even social media content surrounding conscious parenting, it’s still easy to forget to apply the rules in your own home.

I am so grateful to work as a real estate agent and have the flexibility to handle the ever changing schedules of two small children. I am ever evolving and discovering new ways to grow my business and this time home has been an excellent opportunity to focus on learning, staying up-to-date with changes in real estate regulations, and network with my local community.

I look forward to sharing more news, homes, events, and activities in the Pasadena and North East LA area.

In the meantime, here are a few notes from my time away in the last few months.

Floating on Silence by Tour Maubourg

This is the perfect soundtrack to the relaunch of the Modern Arroyo Newsletter. The title Floating on Silence is the best way I could describe the last few months of solitude away from social media. It’s been the perfect amount of escape needed to regroup, rediscover, and redefine my new normal. Time away from social is important for everyone, as sometimes we can get lost in the constant scroll. This track blends jazz and lofi house in the most inspiring way, leaving you to feel like you’re taking a long drive through a European countryside. Take a listen and let me know what you think!
